Water Chemistry Management in Fish Ponds provides participants with the knowledge and tools required to address landowner issues with water quality.

Target Audience(s):

Landowners with surface water access

Objectives:

Participants will:

  • Gain an understanding of basic water chemistry and its relationship to pond health,
  • Gain an understanding of proper water testing and interpretations of results,
  • Gain an understanding of proper soil testing and calculating liming requirements for ponds,
  • Gain an understanding of how liming should be properly applied and troubleshooting unforeseen issues, and
  • Consider addressing water quality concerns and implement water quality management within one year.
