Marine Fisheries Management in the Northern Gulf of Mexico

This program is designed to inform coastal anglers (recreational and commercial) about the most relevant fisheries management issues they face in the northern Gulf of Mexico.

Target Audience(s):

Coastal anglers (recreational and commercial)

Objectives:

Participants will:

  • Learn how to engage in regional fisheries management issues,
  • Learn and adopt best practices for catch and release angling,
  • Learn and adopt techniques for invasive species mitigation, and
  • Learn about the ecosystem importance of sharks in the Gulf of Mexico.
