CPR and Basic First Aid

The CPR and Basic First Aid class will cover CPR for all age groups, including Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and choking.

Target Audience(s):

Youth/students and/or adults renewing CPR certification

Objectives:

Participants will:

  • Describe all the steps in the chain of survival,
  • Recognize the signs of someone needing CPR,
  • Perform high-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants,
  • Work as a team member during multi-rescuer CPR, and
  • Describe the technique for relieving foreign-body airway obstruction for adults, children, and infants.

Total Number of Modules or Sessions: 1

Total Number of Hours for Program Delivery: 4-6 hours
